Al Maktoum Foundation Supports Empowers Sudanese Families

KHARTOUM, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 20th Jan, 2019) Al Maktoum Foundation supplied the first group of 35 sewing machines as part of a project to support productive families in Sudan, as well as to support projects sponsored by the country's Ministry of Solidarity and Social Development.
Wedad Yacoub, Minister of Solidarity and Social Development, briefed the Foundation's delegation about the ministry's projects supporting producing families and individuals. The delegation was led by Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with Hamad Mohammed Humaid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Sudan also present.
Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, highlighted the foundation’s partnership with the ministry, and noted the willingness of the foundation to construct a boarding school, after finalising its costs.
He added that the foundation will communicate with the UAE Embassy to monitor this project.
Yacoub thanked the foundation and noted that the meeting is part of the cooperation between the ministry and the foundation. She also welcomed Al Sayegh’s commitment to support the ministry’s humanitarian associations.
Al Junaibi said that many projects that are beneficial to Sudan will be considered, under the framework of the UAE’s policy and its efforts to ease the hardships of underprivileged communities.
