Al Qutami Inaugurates Dermatology And Aesthetic Medicine Conference And Exhibition

The 4th Middle East International Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine Conference and Exhibition, MIEDAM, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and President of the Dubai Health Authority, DHA, was launched on Thursday, to provide participants with the latest developments in the fields of dermatology, dermato-surgery and aesthetics medicine
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 19th Sep, 2019) The 4th middle East International Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine Conference and Exhibition, MIEDAM, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and President of the Dubai Health Authority, DHA, was launched on Thursday, to provide participants with the latest developments in the fields of dermatology, dermato-surgery and aesthetics medicine.
Humaid Al Qutami, Director-General of the DHA, inaugurated the event, which was attended by around 1,000 doctors from 40 countries and organised by the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences. The event, which is taking place until 21st September, 2019, will host 100 lectures and 17 practical workshops on different topics in the field.
In his opening speech, Al Qutami emphasised the importance of scientific conferences in transferring knowledge and developing professional practices.
He added that Dubai is keen to become an international hub for regional and international forums that attract scientists and experts in various fields.
He said the DHA is keen to remain updated on the latest developments in dermatology and aesthetic medicine as these are fields that are high in demand and have a great effect on medical tourism, especially due to the fact that skin diseases are associated with many other diseases, and also due to the increasing demand for cosmetic and other complementary surgeries.
He concluded his speech by thanking the Dubai Police, the Dubai Healthcare City and the Emirates Medical Association for supporting the conference, as well as Dr. Khaled Al Nuami, Chairman of the conference. Following the inauguration ceremony, Al Qutami toured the exhibition.
