Chairman Of Special Olympics Visits Wahat Al Karama

The Chairman of Special Olympics, Timothy Shriver, visited Monday Wahat Al Karama (Oasis of Dignity), Abu Dhabi’s national and cultural landmark designed to commemorate the sacrifices and heroic deeds of UAE martyrs to defend their homeland and protect its achievements

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 18th Mar, 2019) - The Chairman of Special Olympics, Timothy Shriver, visited Monday Wahat Al Karama (Oasis of Dignity), Abu Dhabi’s national and cultural landmark designed to commemorate the sacrifices and heroic deeds of UAE martyrs to defend their homeland and protect its achievements.

Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Executive Director of the Martyrs' Families' Affairs Office, at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.

He enjoyed attending the Wahat Al Karama ceremony which consisted of flag salutation, musical performance and a horse show.

He made a tour across Wahat Al Karama and listened to a detailed explanation by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun about the oasis' components, which embody the bravery of UAE heroes, as well as the nation’s noble values.
