Civil Defence Announces Safety Campaign For Ramadan Tents

The General Directorate of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi has urged owners of Ramadan tents to strictly adhere to its safety requirements during the holy month

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 03rd May, 2019) The General Directorate of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi has urged owners of Ramadan tents to strictly adhere to its safety requirements during the holy month.

Colonel Mohammed Mayouf Al Ketbi, Director of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, called for the provision of all safety requirements in the tents that serve iftar and suhoor, and at home kitchens.

He emphasised the implementation of the UAE Code for firefighting when setting up tents to ensure full safety, including the need for an adequate number of fire extinguishers. The work of installing electricity connections should be carried out by qualified and licenced technicians, he added.
