DCL Starts Metrological Verification Of Medical Devices

The Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) authorised by the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA), and with the active participation of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), has begun the metrological verification process to verify the accuracy of medical measuring instruments.
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 13th Dec, 2018) The Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) authorised by the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA), and with the active participation of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), has begun the metrological verification process to verify the accuracy of medical measuring instruments.
The project aims to enhance and ensure the health and safety of the members of the community. It also comes within the framework of the legal metrological supervision project on all the measuring tools used in the medical field in the Emirate.
As the first phase of the implementation of the project, full coordination was done with all 13 Primary health centers of DHA for the metrological verification of some medical measuring instruments such as digital thermometers, infrared thermometers, and blood pressure measuring devices. In the next phases, the project will cover all medical measuring devices and equipment in all hospitals, clinics and primary health centers of DHA in the Emirate of Dubai.
