DFWAC Launches Strategic Plan For 2019-2021

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, DFWAC, launched its strategic plan and new organisational structure 2019-2021, in line with the vision of the UAE leadership and the Dubai plan 2021, during the annual ceremony that was held today at the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 20th Mar, 2019) The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, DFWAC, launched its strategic plan and new organisational structure 2019-2021, in line with the vision of the UAE leadership and the Dubai plan 2021, during the annual ceremony that was held today at the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai.
The details of the new strategic plan were presented during the ceremony, which was held in the presence of Ahmed bin Darwish Al Muhairi, Chairman of the DFWAC; Afra Al Basti, Director-General of the Foundation, and all members of the board and employees of the foundation.
The new strategy of the foundation is based on three main axes; firstly, prevention, secondly, care, rehabilitation and empowerment, and thirdly, capacity and innovation, through which four strategic objectives have been set for the foundation. These are to reduce abuse and violence against women and children; provide excellent services in line with international laws and standards; rehabilitate victims and integrate them into society, and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the foundation's internal performance.
The Foundation's new vision is "a society free from violence against women and children in Dubai," and it is mission is to reduce abuse and violence against women and children by activating the role of prevention, and providing safe shelter and care and rehabilitation services in accordance with the best international standards.
Speaking on the occasion, Al Muhairi said that during the development of the new strategic plan, DFWAC was keen to meet the requirements of this stage by enhancing the concepts of creativity, innovation and excellence in line with the vision of the wise leadership and the Dubai Government Plan 2021.
He praised the unlimited support for humanitarian and community work both inside and outside the UAE by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
Al Basti said that the foundation is Proud of providing help and support to victims of violence, human trafficking of women and children, and even men. The Director-General said that since its establishment, and up until the end of 2018, DFWAC has assisted 7,383 individuals, and its helpline (800111) received 28,350 calls.
