Dubai Charity Association to construct ‘Tolerance Village’ in Niger

The Dubai Charity Association announced its plan to construct the "Tolerance Village" in Niger, to mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and coinciding with the Year of Tolerance

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 22nd May, 2019) The Dubai Charity Association announced its plan to construct the "Tolerance Village" in Niger, to mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and coinciding with the Year of Tolerance.

The one-year project, costing a total of AED1.407 million and funded by the association, will begin after Ramadan, with the support of the government of Niger.

Ahmed Mismar, Secretary-General of the Association, said that the project aims to eliminate poverty and famine, support education, and raise the living standards of Muslim families, to provide them with a decent life.

He added that the project will construct 100 mud houses with an area of 40-square metres costing AED500,000, and a 100-square metre mosque with a capacity of 200 worshippers costing AED73,500, as well as a school with six basic classrooms and a two-room classroom for vocational training costing AED215,500, with a total area of 300-square metres.

The school will accommodate 245 students, Mismar noted while further adding that the project will also construct a 70-square metre clinic with three rooms and a reception room costing AED80,000, and an artesian well with a solar-powered pump costing AED81,000 that will benefit 2,000 people, as well as three shops costing AED90,000.
