Dubai Land Department participates in ‘Week Without Service Centres’

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 21st Oct, 2018) Dubai Land Department (DLD) is participating in the ‘A Week without Service Centres’ initiative, being held from October 21-25 under the theme ‘A week Without Waiting... Without Parking...Without papers.’ The participation will improve its contribution to the initiative, launched by the Dubai Department of Finance for the second consecutive year.

Regarding the programme, Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, said, "DLD has always been at the forefront to support initiatives that will help achieve Dubai’s vision and strategy to transform the emirate into a smart city. We focus on providing high-quality, integrated and smart services, as well as the benefits of technology solutions, especially to accelerate and enhance the services provided to customers. We are eager to encourage our customers to conclude their transactions and obtain services through our smart channels, supporting Dubai’s position as the happiest and smartest city in the world."

DLD’s customers can complete all transactions anytime, anywhere, in record time, and with accuracy through ‘Dubai REST’ and DLD’s smart channels, which will save time, effort and money, as well as raise the happiness and satisfaction index for DLD’s services.

Regarding the programme, Bin Mejren said, "A Week Without Service Centres reflects the government's drive to assist in the digital transformation and automation of all its services for the benefit of its customers. DLD aims to encourage customers to switch to smart channels to obtain services and conclude government transactions. DLD has committed itself to provide a range of services through the Dubai REST for an entire week."

Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration and Services Sector at DLD, noted, "Customers can conveniently use DLD’s services through their smartphones, computers, and self-service machines. These channels will ensure customer satisfaction by saving them time and effort in concluding their transactions, without the need to visit service centres, supporting the vision of the Dubai Paperless Strategy, which aims to build a perfectly integrated paperless government framework by 2021. The initiative will play an important role in the conservation of resources, rationalisation of expenditures and revenue development."

DLD’s customers may also apply to enroll in a course at the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) through the institute’s website, and they may file enforcement proceedings through the Rental Disputes Centre’s (RDC’s) website or smart application.
