Dubai’s Annual Radiology Meeting Starts Next Week

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Health Authority, the 3rd Annual Radiology Meeting, ARM, will be held from 31st October to 2nd November, 2018
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 25th Oct, 2018) Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Health Authority, the 3rd Annual Radiology Meeting, ARM, will be held from 31st October to 2nd November, 2018, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, DICEC, under the theme "Smart Imaging - Future of Radiology".
The three-day event, dedicated to radiologists, radiographers and industry experts, will explore the impact of new technology on radiology and diagnostic imaging while also showcasing how this new digital data is contributing towards generating a positive outcome for patients.
The exhibition will witness the participation of 60 brands showcasing their cutting-edge technologies in the field of radiology and imaging.
The third edition of ARM comes at a time when new technology is making huge strides particularly in the diagnostic imaging market, which is having a positive influence on the role of radiology in the healthcare sector.
This year, ARM will feature 66 scientific sessions and attract 45 speakers from various countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Switzerland, Norway and Bulgaria, among others. Speakers will share their insights into the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of radiology and radiography.
Experts and specialists will address a number of issues and challenges related to the field of radiology, such as a panel discussion on "Will Artificial Intelligence replace radiologists in the future?" The middle East Society of Paediatric Radiology will have an entire one-day seminar on paediatric imaging.
Dr. Abdulla Al Remaithi, President of Radiology Society of the Emirates, RSE, and Scientific Chairman of ARM, said, "As part of our efforts in the scientific committee, we intend to promote the significant role of radiologists in the UAE and abroad, as well as raise awareness about the unique challenges facing professionals serving patients in this highly specialised profession.
At ARM, we intend to put the spotlight on how the latest technological advances and digital technologies are putting an additional burden on the evolving role of radiologists, and explore various strategies and solutions to overcome such problems.
"ARM features a highly scientific conference programme focussing on many current topics in radiology, such as cardiac imaging, emergency radiology, MSK, artificial intelligence in radiology, neuroradiology, chest imaging, body imaging, mammography, paediatric imaging for general radiologists and radiography, among others.
"A number of specialised lectures, dedicated workshops and case studies will offer visitors and participants a great opportunity to improve their knowledge in the field, while an exhibition running parallel to the conference will provide exhibitors with a platform to showcase their latest technological tools and equipment, and a chance to engage with leading doctors, specialists and industry professionals."
The conference will feature a number of dedicated radiographer sessions, poster presentation competitions and an Emirates Radiology Cup competition, offering radiology residents and specialists a chance to win cash prizes. Apart from that, attendees and delegates can avail the DHA and the European Accreditation Council approved 35.5 CME credit hours during the conference.
