EHRA participates in Arab Organisation for Human Rights’ General Assembly meetings

The Emirates Human Rights Association, EHRA, is participating in the meetings of the Arab Organisation for Human Rights’ General Assembly which is being held in Cairo tomorrow.

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 23rd Oct, 2018) The Emirates Human Rights Association, EHRA, is participating in the meetings of the Arab Organisation for Human Rights’ General Assembly which is being held in Cairo tomorrow.

The EHRA, which is participating alongside international and Arab organisations working in the human rights field, is being represented by Chairman, Mohammed Salem bin Dhuwain Al Kaabi, and Khalid Jassim l Hosani Amin, Secretary-General.

The General Assembly handles the tasks of reviewing the narrative and financial reports of the board of trustees whose term has ended, in conformity with respecting the transparency principles, in addition to electing the board of trustees for the new session 2018-2021 and placing the work plan and programme for the same period, in addition to reviewing the provisions of the main system.

Participating in the work of the General Assembly is the outgoing board of trustees, in addition to representatives from 21 branches in 18 countries, and 15 human rights experts and prominent experts who were invited to follow the proceedings of the organisational sessions as observers, for the number of participants in the meetings to reach 70 from 25 countries.
