Emirati memoriser shines at Moscow In’t Holy Quran Award

Emirati national, Waleed Al Marzouqi, has shinned in the 19th edition of the Moscow International Holy Quran Award (Zayed Edition), and brilliantly managed to rank third despite the stiff competition.

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 22nd Oct, 2018) Emirati national, Waleed Al Marzouqi, has shinned in the 19th edition of the Moscow International Holy Quran Award (Zayed Edition), and brilliantly managed to rank third despite the stiff competition.

The global competition, organised in Moscow on October 17 – 21, has seen a massive participation from contestants representing over 30 countries and foreign Islamic communities around the world.

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award, DIHQA, as part of its series of initiatives to mark the ‘Year of Zayed’, has partnered with the global competition and extended full support to the organising committee.

The award, organised under the theme ‘Zayed Edition’, has seen the presence of a delegation from the Dubai International Holy Quran Award led by Dr. Saeed Abdullah Hareb, Deputy Chairman - DIHQA.

The delegation included Sami Abdullah Gargash, Member of the Organising Committee and Head of PR Unit, Ahmed Al Zahid, Member of the Organising Committee, and Head of Media Unit, Khalid Al Marzouqi, Deputy Head of the PR Unit, and Sheikh Ali Hassan Al Ali who was selected as a member of the arbitration committee.

The concluding ceremony, held at the main auditorium in the Russian capital Moscow, saw a number of interesting programmes, including an exhibition on the branches of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.

Waleed Hamad Al Marzouqi, the UAE contestant, has shinned in the competition, and managed to seize the third rank despite the stiff competition from all contestants.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saeed Abdullah Hareb, Head of the DIHQA delegation, honoured Sheikh Rawi Ainuddin, Head of Russian Council of Muftis and President of the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation who also Chaired the Moscow International Holy Quran Award, and his First Deputy Dr. Roshan Abbasov.
