RABAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 19th Dec, 2018) A programme aimed at unleashing the leadership potential of youth in the humanitarian field commenced Monday at the Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS) in Rabat.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the programme ran under the theme "In the Footsteps of Zayed".
The programme is the maiden such initiative to groom leaders in the field of humanitarian work by drawing best talent, training and honing their skills and enabling them to serve humanity regardless of color, gender, race or religion, in line with the human values instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and in keeping with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"The launch of the programme coincides with the Sheikha Fatima's humanitarian campaigns addressing women and children across various Moroccan regions as part of a year-long voluntary Emirati-Moroccan medical programme that uses mobile clinics and specialised field hospitals in providing free diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive services for women and children," said Noura Al Suwaidi, Director of GWU.
