The German Embassy in the UAE and Masdar City are hosting a photographic exhibition at Masdar City to highlight the transformation of Germany’s energy system

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 16th Jan, 2019) The German Embassy in the UAE and Masdar City are hosting a photographic exhibition at Masdar City to highlight the transformation of Germany’s energy system.

The exhibition titled ‘Energiewende’ – meaning energy transition – explains how the German energy transition is taking place and how the country is shifting its energy supply to renewables, making the industry more secure, affordable and sustainable.

The launch of the exhibition took place at Masdar City yesterday attended by Ernst Peter Fischer, German Ambassador to the UAE and Plenipotentiary Representative of Germany to IRENA; Dr. Andreas Liebmann, Ambassador of Austria to the UAE; Yousef Baselaib, Executive Director of Sustainable Real Estate at Masdar; and Thorsten Herdan, Director-General for Energy Policy, Heating and Efficiency at Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany.
