INTERPOL delegation reviews services of smart police centre

A delegation from the International Criminal Police Organisation, INTERPOL, General Assembly, visited the 2nd Smart Police Station, SPS, in La Mer, Jumeirah.

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 20th Nov, 2018) A delegation from the International Criminal Police Organisation, INTERPOL, General Assembly, visited the 2nd Smart Police Station, SPS, in La Mer, Jumeirah.

The centre offers 24-hour police services to the area’s visitors in a smart way and without any human interaction.

The visit was made on the sidelines of the 87th INTERPOL General Assembly, which was held in Dubai.

The delegation listened to a presentation about the centre, which was launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, in accordance with the wise leadership’s directives and to make Dubai the smartest city in the world, by transforming its traditional police centres to smart police centres.

The smart station operates 24 hours, seven days a week and offers 27 key services, including reporting of crimes, traffic incidents and community services. It also provides 33 fully automated sub-services ranging from getting a good-conduct certificate to social support of victims of family violence.
