Kuwait To Participate In OPEC And Non-OPEC Ministerial Monitoring Committee Meeting

KUWAIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 17th Mar, 2019) Kuwait will participate in the Joint OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Monitoring Committee meeting, which will be held in Azerbaijan's capital of Baku on Monday, the Kuwait news Agency, KUNA quoted Oil Minister Khaled Al-Fadhil as saying on Sunday.

In a statement to KUNA, Al-Fadhil said that he will head Kuwait's delegation to the meeting, pointing out that the committee is following up the implementation of OPEC and non-OPEC members participating in the agreement of the supply adjustments to ensure balance in the market.

He added that Saudi Arabia currently chairs the committee, which includes Kuwait, Venezuela and Algeria (OPEC members) and Russia and Oman (non-members).

Last December, OPEC and allies agreed to cut production by 1.2 million barrels per day for the first six months of 2019.
