Media Forum On Risks And Threats Kicks-off Tuesday

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 15th Oct, 2018) The second Media Forum on Risks and Threats will begin tomorrow in Abu Dhabi, under the slogan, 'The Media System Facing Risks'.
Organised by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, NCEMA, in partnership with the National Media Council, NMC, Abu Dhabi Media and Sky news Arabia, the forum will see over 350 senior officials, media professionals, emergency, crisis and disaster management experts, and government communications experts in attendance.
Discussions surrounding the roles, objectives and methodologies applied by national media outlets in strategic crisis management scenarios will take place during the forum's proceedings.
The UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Mohammed bin Ahmad Al Bowardi, and Bahrain's Minister of Media Affairs, Ali bin Mohamed Al Rumaihi, will deliver keynote speeches during the Risks and Threats Media Forum.
Forum sessions will provide opportunities for media specialists and practitioners to meet with leaders and officials from the emergency and crisis management administrations of relevant ministries and authorities, to reinforce the role of the media in facing crises and threats.
Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Hosny, Director-General of the NCEMA, said that the forum aims to promote knowledge about media crisis management, as well as forming partnerships and coordination efforts between various media outlets and government bodies in times of emergencies, crises and disasters.
