Ministry Of Economy Announces Launch Of 'Youth Council For The Future’s Economy' Initiative

The Ministry of Economy announced the launch of the "Youth Council for the Future’s Economy" initiative and the official approval of the council’s formation, under the patronage of Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Securities and Commodities Authority.
ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 19th Sep, 2018) The Ministry of Economy announced the launch of the "Youth Council for the Future’s Economy" initiative and the official approval of the council’s formation, under the patronage of Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Securities and Commodities Authority.
Al Mansouri said that the launch of the initiative is part of the vision of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to foresee the future and achieve community happiness led by the youth, who must be prepared to lead the national economy.
He also praised the role of Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairperson of the Federal Youth Foundation, in supporting the initiative and supervising its implementation.
Al Mansouri added that the council’s mission is to empower the youth economically and commercially and involve them in the country’s future economic development, through providing them with an economic and investment environment that will support their small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative ideas.
Al Mazrui welcomed the initiative and stressed its importance in promoting the role of the youth in leading and shaping the country’s future economy.
"The youth are our hope for shaping the future and achieving positive change, as well as strengthening the UAE’s regional and international stature. Emirati youth are proving every day their capacities to take on their responsibilities and create practical solutions to obstacles to shaping a better future, in line with the UAE’s ambitious vision to become one of the best countries in the world," she said.
The council will include nine members who are Hamda Al Zaaroony, Majid Al Naqbi, Sheikha Al Katbi, Ammar Al Maeeny, Talal bin Masoud, Hamda Al Amany, Abeer Al Karmastagy, Fatma Farhan and Hamad Al Awadhi.
The responsibilities of the council will include strengthening the cooperation between future economic leaders, drafting an economic strategy to foresee the future, meeting the aspirations of the youth, and supporting their economic and social growth, through a programme that will run until 2050.
