MoHAP Applies Global Best Practices For Residency Medical

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 18th Mar, 2019) The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has said that it is very keen to upgrade all medical services provided to the public.
According to a press statement issued by the ministry, the residence visa medical check-up, which falls within MoHAP's priorities, is developed daily to protect the UAE community against the spread of infectious diseases, speed up medical examination procedures with highly accurate results, and help obtain the residence-visa swiftly using innovative and leading working mechanisms.
Medical examination centres for residency offer a wide range of services including typing residency visa forms, conducting medical examinations and issuing Emirates ID (Departments of Preventive Medicine only).
Dr. Hussein Abdel Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary of MOHAP's Health Centres and Clinics Sector, reaffirmed that the medical fitness examination for residency purposes is one of the top prioritised services being offered by the ministry in partnership with government bodies concerned with the issuance of residency visas. "It is also part of the ministry’s strategy to provide comprehensive and integrated health care using innovative and sustainable methods to protect the community against diseases," he explained.
Al Rand noted that the medical examination centres are equipped with the latest equipment and devices necessary for medical tests such as blood and radiation testing devices.
The medical and technical staff are well-trained and were qualified to perform up-to-date procedures to achieve quick and outstanding results in accordance with global specifications and standards, he stated, adding that the ministry’s efforts are being doubled to facilitate the client's experience, reduce wait times, provide medical examination services following the best methods, electronic systems and smart technologies.
"The ministry’s efforts also aim to develop health examination services for expatriate workers, enrich the customer experience and spread happiness in the community by offering smart solutions and innovative services according to the best international practices," Al Rand said.
The Medical examination service for Residency can be availed at the Preventive Medicine Centres at Kuwait Hospital in Dubai (previously known as Al Baraha hospital), Al Ghubaiba, Kalba, Dibba Al Hasan, Khorfakkan, Al Dhaid, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and the Examination Center of Expatriate Labour in the Sharjah Industrial Area.
The Medical examination service is also available at medical centres at shopping malls including Ibn Battuta Mall, Dragon Mart 2, TECOM, Spring Oasisi Area, Salah El Deen, and Al Khobaisi, It includes three packages, the first of which covers all categories excluding vaccination and female household domestic service, with fees totalling AED260. The second package includes all categories including the vaccination, at a total fee of AED310, meanwhile, the third package "Female House Hold Domestic Service" costs AED360.
