Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, has paid tribute to the 'Mother of the Nation' H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the GWU, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, on the occasion of Mother’s Day

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 20th Mar, 2019) - Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, has paid tribute to the 'Mother of the Nation' H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the GWU, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

He also extended greetings to the mothers of the UAE martyrs on the Mother's Day, "a dear occasion on which we celebrate the role of the women and of the mothers in the UAE's success story."

"The whole community is celebrating an occasion that is dear to our hearts, the Mother's Day. When the word mother is mentioned, the picture that immediately registers in our minds is of the kind woman who is the pillar of the society and the symbol of love and giving," he said.

Sheikh Nahyan praised Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak as the true embodiment of the ideal mother.

"As we celebrate the Mother's Day, we greet with pride the Mother of the Nation Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bin Mubarak. She is a true example of the kind and loving mother who has a special place in our hearts, thanks to her vision and her role in deepening social development and in enhancing the role of the women."

Sheikh Nahyan said the Mother's Day is also an occasion to salute the mothers of the martyrs who set a living example of sacrifice, unlimited giving and love of the country.

"On this occasion, we say: Thank You the mothers of the martyrs for raising gallant heroes. Thank You for the lessons you give in patriotism, perseverance and sacrifice."
