RAK Ruler Receives Abu Dhabi Media Delegation

RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 21st Feb, 2019) H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today, received at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, a delegation from Abu Dhabi Media, headed by Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Media.

During the meeting, Sheikh Saud praised the UAE’s national media and its efforts to keep pace with the country’s advancement and civilised accomplishments.

"The national media is the mirror that reflects our accomplishments and civilisational gains to the world and is the first line of defence for our values, principles and national identity. Our media has always played a positive role in shaping public opinion and promoting the spirit of good citizenship since the country’s establishment, and it contributed to spreading the nation’s and its citizens’ voice with credibility and transparency," Sheikh Saud said.

"We, in Ras Al Khaimah, have a comprehensive media vision and a future media outlook, which will help the national media keep pace what the emirate’s overall development, and will help deliver its message that carries our national values and professional responsibility, to serve the emirate’s comprehensive development," he added.

Dr. bin Tamim praised the role of Ras Al Khaimah in advancing the country’s media, through hosting national media activities and events while affirming the efforts of Abu Dhabi Media to deliver the national media’s message to the world, due to the support of the wise leadership and the monitoring of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their belief in the importance of the media and its influential role in achieving development and progress and promoting culture and knowledge.

Dr. bin Tamim briefed Sheikh Saud about the future strategy of Abu Dhabi Media and its ambitious plans to strengthen the national media, through launching local and international programmes based on an integrated and comprehensive vision, which will ensure the UAE’s success and spread its message to the world.
