Reem Al Hashemy Meets Senior Officials On Sidelines Of African Summit

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, yesterday held several meetings with Foreign Ministers of African countries and senior officials of international organisations, on the sidelines of the 32nd ordinary session of the assembly of the African Union
ADDIS ABABA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 11th Feb, 2019) Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, yesterday held several meetings with Foreign Ministers of African countries and senior officials of international organisations, on the sidelines of the 32nd ordinary session of the assembly of the African Union.
Minister Al Hashemy discussed with Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the situation of refugees and internally displaced persons and ways to resolve this crisis - which the African continent has been experiencing recently - in cooperation with the UAE.
She also explored with Workneh Gebeyehu, Ethiopian Foreign Minister, ways to enhance bilateral ties in the investment and economic development fields especially with the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
During her meeting with Nhial Deng Nhial, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Sudan, they discussed the latest developments in South Sudan and means to boost ties between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Sylvie Baipo-Temon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic, met with Reem Al Hashemy and discussed the latest developments in the Central African Republic, and ways of fostering coordination.
She also exchanged talks with Lejeune Mbella Mbella, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cameron, on issues of mutual interest that benefit both sides.
Minister Al Hashemy met with Gbehzohngar Findley, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, where they explored means of developing political and economic ties.
She also met with Kalla Ankourao, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Niger, and examined ways of fostering coordination.
During her meeting with Alpha Barry, Burkina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al Hashemy discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations in order to achieve an effective partnership between the two countries.
