Region’s Biggest Dental Event ‘AEEDC Dubai’ Starts In February

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Health Authority, the 23rd edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai, the largest dental event of its kind in the MENASA region and the second largest in the world, will take place from the 5th to the 7th of February, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 21st Jan, 2019) Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Health Authority, the 23rd edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai, the largest dental event of its kind in the MENASA region and the second largest in the world, will take place from the 5th to the 7th of February, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The three-day annual dental event is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors and participants from the region and the world.
AEEDC Dubai 2019 will see the participation of 155 world renowned speakers in various fields of dentistry, feature 16 hands-on workshops and 175 scientific sessions on a wide range of topics. Moreover, the annual dental event will showcase 201 poster presentations, offering students and participants a unique opportunity to share their research papers and case studies.
AEEDC Dubai presents a rich diverse conference agenda touching upon a number of distinct areas of dentistry such as Aesthetics, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine, Anesthesia, TMD, Laser Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Dental Emergency, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Digital Dentistry among others, which will be helpful in enriching the knowledge of everyone attending the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman, AEEDC Dubai, said, "On behalf of the organizing committee, we are indeed very proud to witness the start of another successful edition of AEEDC Dubai Conference and Exhibition, which is the largest dental event in the region and the second largest in the world. Over the last 2 decades, AEEDC Dubai has played a key role in the educational, scientific and technological advancement of the dental industry in the UAE and the wider region while also creating a robust platform for exploring new scientific breakthroughs, exchange of new ideas and pushing the frontiers of knowledge.
Dr. Al Madani continued: "Leading local and international companies wait for AEEDC Dubai to launch their latest innovations in the field of dentistry for the first time at this annual dental gathering as they get a maximum exposure due to the thousands of dentists and technicians attending from the region and the world. The exhibition this year is set to attract 2732 local and international companies and witness the participation of over 4000 international brands, occupying an overall space of 85,250 square meters."
Dr. Al Madani also mentioned that the scientific activities at AEEDC Dubai is as vital as the business side. AEEDC Dubai is a renowned educational platform and a good source for credit hours for specialists and dentists.
The 23rd edition will witness also the launch of "AEEDC Dubai Stars" that will feature a number of panel discussions on life and dentistry and will witness the participation of key figures, celebrities, and influencers who will be sharing their success stories.
One of the prominent speakers at AEEDC Dubai stars will be Dr. Majd Naji, Member of the American academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Chairman of Liberty Medical Group. AEEDC Dubai Stars will also feature several entertainment activities and competitions that will be held parallel to the exhibition.
Delegates and participants visiting AEEDC Dubai conference will have an opportunity to enhance their knowledge by attending many advanced specialty courses given by top specialists and experts in various fields of dentistry such as Orthodontics, Implantology and Restorative Dentistry.
Additionally, a number of scientific global forums of huge importance, will offer specialized courses in many branches of dentistry such as ‘GCC Preventive Dentistry Forum’, Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA) Meeting, ‘Digital Dentistry Forum’, ‘Research Methodology Forum’, ‘Dental education Forum’ and ‘Special Pediatric Dentistry Forum: Special aspects and considerations in Pediatric patients’ and Community Forum to name a few.
Furthermore, AEEDC Dubai features a number of scientific activities to raise awareness about the latest developments in the industry and inspire young students and professionals to improve their knowledge. The annual AEEDC Dubai Student Competition provides a unique opportunity to all dental students from the leading dental colleges and universities in the region for a face-to-face competition, involving questions ranging from Infection Control and Four Handed Dentistry to Implantology and Oral Surgery. In addition, the popular AEEDC Dubai Awards 2019, which includes the Young Researcher Award, Best Stand Design Award, Best Stand Activities Award, Excellence in Clinical Product/Equipment Award, Best Clinical Photo Award and AEEDC Dubai 2019 Best Speaker, rewards the distinguished leaders and innovators within the world of Oral Health by recognizing their achievements in the field of Oral Health.
Besides, the conference attendees will also get a chance to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) points, accredited by The American Dental Association (ADA), Arab Academy for Continuous Dental Education (ARACDE) and DHA, which is recognized by Abu Dhabi Health Authority (HAAD) and Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). In addition, all attendees will get an opportunity to meet the world’s most renowned dentists, specialists and experts in the field of dentistry all under one roof.
Meanwhile, prior to AEEDC Dubai 2019, the conference features the start of the ‘Dubai World Dental Meeting - DWDM 2019’ which will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of February, 2019 while AEEDC Dubai World Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2019 Conference and AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic 2019 Conference, will commence on the 3rd and 4th of February simultaneously.
