SCMC Continues Health Awareness Campaign In Socotra

SOCOTRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 18th Apr, 2019) A delegation from the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, SCMC, currently touring Socotra, Yemen, is visiting local health centres to assess their services for the area’s residents, especially women and children.

The delegation visited various health centres in Fadheb and Dauhamdh, and was briefed about their needs, services, and general efforts to promote health awareness.

It also visited Halah in Eastern Socotra and met with local residents, and reviewed the prenatal and postnatal care services provided by the healthcare centre to women in the region.

The delegation organised healthcare awareness sessions for women and children, providing details on accessible care services and the role women play in creating a healthy community. It also distributed gifts, information booklets to local children.
