ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 23rd May, 2019) Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the National Media Council, NMC, has said that the legacy of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is a guiding light in the UAE’s future development journey, especially in terms of humanitarian work, promoting tolerance and human fraternity, establishing peace and stability and achieving local and international economic and social development.

In a statement marking Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, Dr. Al Jaber said, "The values established by the Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed, which our leadership is continuing to implement, are the cornerstone of the UAE’s message to the world, in light of the country’s stature as a centre of social and humanitarian work. This message will continue to guide the UAE’s strategic plans and comprehensive development programmes, which will strengthen its advanced social and humanitarian stature.

"

"The UAE’s celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day is an annual occasion to highlight the country’s sustainable giving, whose pillars were established by Sheikh Zayed, who offered giving and launched local and international sustainable development projects that promoted the UAE’s humanitarian role and attracted the world’s attention, as it is a unique model of giving and coexistence that prioritised people," he added.

"On this occasion, I affirm the importance of the media’s role in raising awareness of the humanitarian values and ideology of the Founding Father, who promoted tolerance and cooperation and extended his hands of giving to everyone, based on the UAE’s national heritage. His humanitarian legacy, which is being continued by the NMC, is a key part of the UAE’s civilised message to the region and the entire world," Dr. Al Jaber concluded.
