Sheikha Fatima Receives Participants Of ‘Family’s Role In Consolidating Values Of Tolerance Conference’

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 19th Mar, 2019) H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, yesterday received, at Qasr Al Bahr, a delegation participating in the 'Family’s Role in Consolidating Values of Tolerance Conference'.
The delegation included, Sheikha Naeema Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Chairperson of the Organisational Committee of Women’s sports of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC; Fawzia bint Abdullah Zinel, Chairperson of the Bahraini Parliament; Dr. Farkhanda Hassan, Secretary-General of the National Council of Women of Egypt; Ashwaq bint Ibrahim Alabdulmonem, Wife of the Saudi Ambassador to the UAE, and Afraa Al Saberi, Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Tolerance.
Sheikha Fatima welcomed the participants and highlighted the key role of families in raising future generations on traditional values, especially tolerance, which enables communities to live in compassion and solidarity while adding that successful families raise their children on this value.
Her Highness noted that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan adopted the concept of tolerance in his life and was a model of dealing with others, and the wise leadership is following his approach.
She also pointed out that Emirati families are living in tolerance and compassion and are helping to establish a tolerant and ethical community.
The participants of the conference expressed their happiness at meeting Sheikha Fatima, who has empowered Emirati women and supported the establishment of the ideal family.
"We totally agree with the ‘Mother of the UAE’ that raising an ideal family is the responsibility of mothers, who play a key role in creating a correct community," they said.
Sheikha Fatima held a luncheon in honour of the conference’s participants.
The meeting and the luncheon were also attended by H.H. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Wife of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC; Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC; Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State; Noura Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Women's Union, and Reem Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
