National Day Celebrations Committee Announces Events, Activities In Sharjah

The Higher Committee of the 47th National Day Celebrations in Sharjah has announced its line-up of activities and events to celebrate the UAE's National Day.
SHARJAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 20th Nov, 2018) The Higher Committee of the 47th National Day Celebrations in Sharjah has announced its line-up of activities and events to celebrate the UAE's National Day.
In a statement the committee explained that activities will begin on Thursday, 22nd November, 2018, in Khor Fakkan, highlighting the nation's history, civilisation, nature, and beautiful beaches.
The celebrations will extend to cover more than seven cities and regions across the Emirate of Sharjah, offering a variety of activities that echo an unending love for the homeland and are reminiscent of the efforts made by the Founding Fathers.
Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Head of the Higher Committee said, "These days are filled with joy and delight for everyone in the UAE. The celebrations are witnessed across the country, especially in Sharjah with the active participation of students, citizens, residents and visitors."
He went on to say that Khor Fakkan activities will include an operetta by artists Fayez Al Saeed, Aryam, Waleed Al Jassim, Faisal Al Jassim, Mohammed Al Menhali and Orayb.
National Day Celebrations' activities will include Armed Forces air shows, Mirage 2000 and F16 air shows, a parade by Fursan Al Emarat squadron, paratroopers show, as well as folkloric bands, traditional music and performances by students and children centres.
Al Midfa explained that the festive events which run from 22nd November to 3rd December, will include activities, programmes and national celebrations in more than seven cities across the emirate. The events will be spread over Sharjah and the eastern cities to highlight the joy of citizens and residents during these holidays.
He pointed out that amongst the prominent events are the ones happening in the National Park from 28th November to 3rd December, the "Emarat Zayed" Operetta in Al Majaz Amphitheatre on 30th November, as well as the 2nd December celebrations on Flag Island.
