UAE A Key Partner In Achieving Global Peace: Mohammed Bin Rashid Tolerance Award

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 16th Dec, 2018) Khalifa Al Shaer Al Suwaidi, Acting Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Tolerance Award, said that the announcement of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan declaring 2019 as the 'Year of Tolerance' is an essential step in promoting tolerance and encouraging it to become a community practice.

In a statement, Al Suwaidi stressed that the UAE’s approach is based on moderation and tolerance, which has made it a beacon of security and peace.

He also urged academic, media and religious authorities to support the declaration.

He added that the UAE has demonstrated the meanings of tolerance and coexistence in all its actions, confirming that it is a crucial partner in achieving global peace, which was reinforced by the declaration.

He noted that the approach of the wise leadership has made the country an oasis of security, peace and coexistence, while indicating that the award is keen to cooperate with all authorities, to achieve the interests of the nation.
