UAE, Germany discuss joint cooperation in police work

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 15th Mar, 2019) Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, met with Dr. Markus Kerber, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community and the accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of the Special Olympics World Games hosted by the UAE.

The two parties discussed prospects for joint cooperation in areas concerning police work. The German official was informed about the ministry's experiment in co-organising the Special Olympics and other international events.

The UAE welcomed more than 7,500 athletes from over 190 nations for Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 between 14th and 21st March. They will compete in 24 officially sanctioned Olympic-style sports in what will be the first World Games to be held in the middle East.
