DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 20th Feb, 2019) The Emirates and Desert Palm teams won their opening matches at the first day of the Julius Baer Gold Cup 2019, which began yesterday.

The first match was between Desert Palm and Mahra Polo teams with the teams at a tie by the end of the second chukker.

By the end of the third, Desert Palm had created a 2 goal advantage and further took control of the game until the buzzer of the fifth chukker closing it at 14 goals to 4.

The next match saw Abu Dhabi Polo and UAE Polo teams take the lead from each other and reached half-time at a tie, 5 - 5. Subsequent goals from Tomas Panelo and Alejandro Muzzio on the last two chukkers had sealed their position as the winner of the match with a final score of 11 goals to 7.
