The 15th World Interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound, WINFOCUS, World Congress got underway in Dubai today

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 22nd Feb, 2019) The 15th World Interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound, WINFOCUS, World Congress got underway in Dubai today.

The annual global gathering in the Point of Care Ultrasound, POCUS, the World Congress attracts world renowned authorities, along with more than 600 participants specialties in medicine, along with educators, students, nurses, doctors in training, researchers, and innovators, to discuss the latest technology trends in the use of ultrasound in emergency and critical care.

Organised by WINFOCUS under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Health Authority, with the support of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Medical Sciences Award.

The meeting offer a number of point of care ultrasound courses on emergency and critical care in different specialties, which have been highly successful in preparing practitioners to meet the growing need of ultrasound knowledge and skills in their specialties through didactic and ‘hands on’ training sessions.

This year, a number of new courses have been added to meet the growing demands of ultrasound training in many specialties.

Organisers noted that speakers in plenary sessions will present new information on innovative techniques and technologies, teaching methodologies and research.

Also, fifteen manufacturers of ultrasound devices will showcase smart machines, ultracompact units, and many new self-learning and teaching adjuncts to conventional machines.

The four-day gathering will also feature informative sessions on technology and artificial intelligence.
