China Vows 'necessary Countermeasures' After US Tariff Hike

Beijing, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2019 ) :China's commerce ministry said Friday it "deeply regrets" US tariff hikes on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods and vowed to take "necessary countermeasures".
The commerce ministry's statement did not elaborate on what specific measures Beijing would take.
"The eleventh round of China-US high-level economic and trade consultations is underway and we hope the US and the Chinese side can meet each other halfway," the statement said.
