Chinese, Hong Kong Stocks Dive On Trump Tariffs Threat

Shanghai, May 6 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2019 ) :China's key stock indices plunged more five percent on Monday after US President Donald Trump threatened to hike tariffs on Chinese imports.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 5.
10 percent, or 157.05 points, to 2,921.29 in the morning session, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, sank 5.56 percent, or 91.01 points, to 1,545.58.
In Hong Kong the Hang Seng Index plunged 3.43 percent, or 1,031.00 points, to 29,050.55.
