Countrywide Polio Vaccination Drive To Start From Monday

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2019 ) :A countrywide campaign to administer anti-polio drops to children under five years of age will start on Monday (tomorrow).
National Coordinator of Polio Eradication Programme Dr. Rana Safdar talking to Radio Pakistan said the anti-polio drive will target 39 million children in all four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Polio teams will go door-to-door and administer oral polio vaccine drops to children under the age of five, he added.
He urged people to cooperate with polio teams to administer drops to their children against this crippling disease.
He said special security arrangements would also be taken to ensure protection and security of the polio workers.
