He said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi attended the OIC meeting in Istanbul to express Pakistan's complete solidarity with the Muslim Ummah, which is united in its opposition of the US move to open its embassy in Jerusalem in spite of a UN resolution.

Ambassador Chaudhry said that Pakistan's government and its people fully support the Palestinian people and strongly condemn the move by the US to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The Ambassador said that the government has instructed all the embassies and the High Commissions to reach out to people, lawmakers and government officials in their respective jurisdiction to highlight the issue.
