10 Dead, 993 Injured In 876 Road Accidents

The Punjab Emergency Service (PES), commonly known as Rescue-1122, responded to 988 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
In these accidents, 10 people were killed and 993 others injured.
As many as 577 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals while 406 with minor injuries were provided first aid on the spot.
The statistics show that 235 accide1nts were reported in Lahore with 230 victims, 94 in Faisalabad with 110 injured and 66 in Multan with 69 victims.
According to the data, 655 motorbikes, 123 auto-rickshaws, 83 motorcars, 52 vans, 16 passenger buses, 27 trucks and 97 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in these accidents.
