100 Cartons Of Non-duty Paid Cigarettes Confiscated

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2021 ) :Surveillance Squad of Federal Bureau of Revenue Thursday seized 100 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes from a truck on Karnal Sher Khan Interchange Swabi.
According to details, surveillance teams of FBR were directed by Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office, Sardar Ali Khawaja to expedite efforts against smuggling of non-duty paid items. During checking of vehicles on Karnal Sher Khan Interchange, surveillance team recovered 100 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes from a truck bearing registration number Z-8448.
The estimate of federal excise duty on confiscated cigarettes is Rs. 1650,000 and its price in open market is Rs. 3150000. The confiscated cigarettes have been shifted to Tax House for further action.
Deputy Commissioner Corporate,Abdul Baseer Khattak has praised the performance of surveillance team and said that smuggling of non-duty paid cigarettes would be dealt according and indiscriminately.
