10,000 Liters Substandard Drinks Seized

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Authority (KPFA) in a crackdown against substandard food items and drinks on Wednesday night and seized 10,000 liters substandard drinks labeled with multinational brands and sealed a factory in Chamkani area

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Authority (KPFA) in a crackdown against substandard food items and drinks on Wednesday night and seized 10,000 liters substandard drinks labeled with multinational brands and sealed a factory in Chamkani area.

Meanwhile two ice factories were also sealed in a crackdown in Pabbi over inclusion of substandard sugar in ice cream of international brands KPFA, said spokesman of KPFA here Thursday. He said that during the crackdown a total four factories were sealed over adulteration, adding that in a raid in Mardan district the authority arrested two person while they were making minced meet from 500 kg liver imported from India.

He said several cases were registered against the arrested persons while the substandard items were disposed off.
