108 Jawans Offered Sacrifices While Protecting Citizens:CPO

City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Ali Nasir Rizvi has said that people must change their perception about the police department as its 108 Jawans have so far offered sacrifices while protecting the lives of others
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Mar, 2023 ) :City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Ali Nasir Rizvi has said that people must change their perception about the police department as its 108 Jawans have so far offered sacrifices while protecting the lives of others.
Addressing the business community in Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) here on Thursday, he said that city police have only 8222 Jawans to protect the 12 million people. Sweepers up to CPO are included in it, he said and added that it is the department which is really working around the clock.
He said that people demand that police officials should behave properly and resolve their issues in addition to ensuring their presence around the clock. He said, "Our job is to facilitate the people but we could give excellent results when 24 million eyes of 12 million population inform us about any criminal activity around their surroundings." He said that it is very strange that public perception about police is not positive despite the fact that they had offered 108 precious lives. He said, "We must bridge this gap so that this department could further improve its performance and come up to the expectations of the masses.
" The CPO said that he was with a family of martyrs yesterday, adding, it made him proud that how mothers prepare their sons to lay down their lives in the line of duty.
Rizvi said that they get salaries from the taxes and hence he would himself approach the business community to resolve their genuine issues. He requested them to repose confidence in the police force and they would certainly give them required results. He also assured to enhance patrolling on Sahianwala-Gattwala road during wee hours in addition to nominating a focal person specifically for the FCCI.
Yasin of Salayni Foundation said that this organization has installed RO Plants in five police stations while more plants would be provided to ensure potable water to the police officials.
Earlier Senior Vice President Dr. Sajjad Arshad welcomed the CPO while Vice President Haji Muhammad Aslam Bhalli offered vote of thanks. Later Dr. Sajjad Arshad presented FCCI shield to CPO Ali Nasir Rizvi.
