117 Power Pilferers Held In March: Multan Electric Power Company

Monitoring and Surveillance (M&S) teams of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) have got arrested 117 power pilferers during an operation launched in March last across the region.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2018 ) :Monitoring and Surveillance (M&S) teams of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) have got arrested 117 power pilferers during an operation launched in March last across the region.
According to mepco sources, in line with special directions of CEO Mepco Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, monitoring and surveillance teams headed by manager M&S Engineer Abbas Lashari launched an operation against power pilferers during the month of March 2018.
During the operation, the teams arrested 117 power pilferers and imposed fine worth over Rs 3.
5 million on them, out of which, over Rs 600,000 had been recovered, sources added. The teams arrested nine power pilferers from Nawan Shehr sub division, one from Garden Town, one from Shah Rukan-e-Alam, five from Makhdoom Rasheed, two from Grain Market, two from Mumtazabad, one from Qasba Marral, 42 from Shah Sadaruddin sub division in DG Khan, six from Quetta road sub division, four from DG Khan first, three from Sangam, six from Rural sub division Khanpur, two from Khanewal first, 14 from Sanawan and 19 from Chowk Sarwar Shaheed sub division.
