13 File Papers For PK-30 Balakot Bye-poll

In all 13 candidates from different political parties and independent had filed papers for the bye-election to Pk-30 Balakot, Mansehra due for February 26, said the spokesman of Election Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here Wednesday.
PTI has put up Ahmed Hussain Shah whereas PMLN has awarded ticket to Syed Mazher Ali Qasim s/o former Federal minister Qasim Ali Shah. Other candidates who are in the race included Muhammad Javed, Mohammad Mushtaq, Tabarik Ahmed, Mohammad Safdar, Syed Sohaib Ali Shah, Attaullah, Abdul Aziz Chaudhry, Amjad Hussain Shah, Amir Shahzad, Liaquat and M Ashraf.
The seat was fallen vacant after the disqualification of Ziaur Rehman of PMLN on fake degree cases by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
According to Election Commission from January 7, scrutiny of the candidates would be completed and candidates might submit their appeals against the Returning Officers decision on January 11 while the decision on the appeals would be issued on January 15. On January 17 candidates could withdraw their nomination papers, on the same day finalized lists of the candidates would also be displayed and on January 18 ECP would allot the election symbols to the candidates.
On February 26 , KP-30 bye-polls would be held from 8 am to 5 pm without any delay under strict security measures.
