14 Candidates In Field For Oct 14 By-polls In Jalalpur

District Election Commissioner (DEC) Multan Shakeel Ahmad said on Tuesday that training of polling staff would begin on October 4 for the October 14 by-elections in PP-222 constituency in Jalalpur Pirwala.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :District Election Commissioner (DEC) Multan Shakeel Ahmad said on Tuesday that training of polling staff would begin on October 4 for the October 14 by-elections in PP-222 constituency in Jalalpur Pirwala.
The DEC Multan told APP that fourteen candidates are in the field who are engaged in campaigning for the seat vacated following the death of PTI MPA-elect Malik Ghulam Abbas Khakhi.
Malik Ghulam Abbas Khakhi had won the seat in July 25 polls but had died of cardiac arrest in Islamabad on August 14.
Shakeel said that printing of ballot papers was in progress for the by-polls and arrangements were being made to hold by-elections in transparent manner and it would be ensured that results were prepared and made public without any delay.
Shazia Abbas Khakhi, the widow of Khakhi was also among the contestants. Rana Suhail Ahmad Noon, the brother of PTIMNA Rana Qasim Noon, is contesting as PTI nominee.
