144 bottles of illicit liquor recovered

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th August, 2016) : As many as 144 bottles of illicit liquor were seized, while an accused, Kodu Mal, was arrested during a snap checking on Miani Road Sukkur by the Excise and Taxation department.

The snap checking was supervised by ETI Dilawar Khan Shaikh on the directives of Sindh Minister Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla in connection with the ongoing drive against sale of illicit liquor across the province, said a statement on Saturday.

An FIR has been lodged against accused and investigations are underway.
