15 Old Blocks At PIMH To Be Revamped With Rs. 2.20bn

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) The Punjab Specialized Healthcare has finalised the PC-I for revamping of 15 old blocks at the Punjab Institute of Mental Health (PIMH).

The PC-I report showed that the department approved Rs. 2.20 billion for renovation of the Mental Hospital.

The PSHD sources told APP that a major transformation was also being planned for the TB Sanatorium in Samli (Murree), with Rs200 billion dedicated to converting it into a 300-bed general hospital.

In the annual development budget for 2024-25, the Punjab government allocated significant funds to revamp and upgrade the health sector of the province.

In the budget 2024-25, the Specialized Healthcare and Medical education Department has been granted Rs. 86 billion, while Rs42.6 billion had been allocated to the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department.
