199 Power Pilferers Caught In Two-weeks

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Dec, 2018 ) ::The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) intelligence teams caught 199 power pilferers from various parts of its region during the last fortnight.

FESCO spokesman Tahir Sheikh said here Sunday that the company teams caught 13 power pilferers from Faisalabad-I Circle, 25 from Faisalabad-II Circle, 63 from Jhang Circle and 98 from Sargodha Circle.

The FESCO teams also removed meters and issued detection bills of 411,211 units and imposed a fine of Rs 6,811,066.

He said that a fine of Rs 3,447,430 was imposed on power pilferers of Faisalabad-I Circle by issuing them detection bills of 202,790 units, whereas, a fine of Rs 734,168 was imposed on electricity pilferers in Faisalabad-II Circle by issuing them detection bill of 44,515 units.

Similarly, a fine of Rs 1,287,214 was imposed on power pilferers of Jhang Circle by issuing them detection bill of 70,502 units while a fine of Rs 1,342,254 was imposed on electricity pilferers in Sargodha Circle by issuing them detecting bills of 93,404 units, he added.

The spokesman further said that electricity theft cases have been got registered against 80 pilferers, besides recovering fine amount of more than Rs 200,000 from power pilferers so far.
