
2 Police Constables Arrested By Anti-Corruption Sargodha

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2025) The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sargodha Region on Wednesday arrested two constables of the jail police for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3.1 million from a citizen in exchange for securing a job for his son in the jail police department.
According to ACE sources, the complainant, Muhammad Ismail, son of Habib Shah and a resident of Bangi Khail, Tehsil Esa Khail, submitted a written complaint to the Regional Director of Anti-Corruption Sargodha. He alleged that constables Ghulam Shabir and Ameer Abbas, both serving in the jail police in Mianwali, received Rs 3 million as a bribe for facilitating his son's recruitment.
Following the complaint, the Regional Director assigned Circle Officer Nasir Khan to investigate the matter. After conducting a preliminary inquiry, the officer found the allegations to be true.
Acting on the findings, Nasir Khan, under the supervision of the concerned Judicial Magistrate, carried out a raid and arrested the accused constables to complete legal formalities and initiate further proceedings.
