203 Searchlights Of Vehicles Took Off, 13 Challaned In Quetta

Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Quetta Habibullah Khan and traffic police team took action against searchlight of vehicles and took off 203 searchlights from various transports including freight vehicles at Balily Check Post area of Quetta.
On special directive of Commissioner Quetta Division, Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai, Secretary RTA and traffic police team carried out crackdown operation against those vehicles fixed searchlights at Balily Check Post, said a news release issued here on Tuesday.
As many as 203 searchlights were taken off from vehicles including freight vehicles and 13 vehicles were also challened over violation of traffic in operation.
Secretary RTA said most of accidents were occurred at National Highways on night time due to searchlights, so that action would be continued against such vehicles for decreasing road mishap at highways for saving precious lives of public during traveling.
He said special campaign would be launched with other official departments to improve public transports regarding prevention of accidents, despite strict action would be taken against overloading vehicles and over speeding transports for ensuring implementation of National Highway in respective areas of province.
