226 Kg Drugs Seized, 30 Arrested In Counter-narcotics Strikes

Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan, as part of its countrywide campaign has seized 226 kg narcotics and arrested 30 persons involved in drug smuggling.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2018 ) :Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan, as part of its countrywide campaign has seized 226 kg narcotics and arrested 30 persons involved in drug smuggling.

The Force also impounded seven vehicles while conducting 27 counter-narcotics strikes across the country. The seized drugs comprised of 121.3 Kg Hashish, 38 Kg Heroin, 64.2 Kg Opium, 2.900 Kg Amphetamine, 610 Liters Suspected Chemical and 670 Restroil Capsules.

Most of the recovered drug was intended to be smuggled abroad. As per details here on Thursday, ANF Quetta seized 560 Liters Acetone in an intelligence based operation conducted at Mountainous Area of Sor Gul, Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chagai.

In another operation, ANF Quetta recovered 50 Kg Opium and 50 liters suspected chemical from deserted place in Killi Wadiyan near Gawala Stop, Tehsil Nokundi, District Chagai. As per initial information, the drugs were intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang.

ANF Rawalpindi recovered one kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Tahir Abbas, resident of Islamabad. He was arrested near Jilani CNG, Tramari Chowk, Islamabad. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 600 Grams Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Muhammad Mustafa, resident of Bannu.

He was arrested near Rahat Bakery, Airport Road, Rawalpindi. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a United Motorcycle near Hafiz Floor Mill, GT Road, Faqeerabad, Attock and recovered 300 Grams Heroin from personal possession of the two accused identified as Sabir Khan and Khurram Shahzad, residents of Attock.

In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Honda Motorcycle CD-70 near Car Chowk, Bostan Khan Road, Rawalpindi and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Waqas Khan, resident of Kohat.

In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Mukhlis Taj, resident of Nowshera at Islamabad International Airport and recovered two Kg Amphetamine which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was travelling to Saudi Arabia by Flight No.

PA-274. ANF Lahore recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Muhammad Imran, resident of Lahore. He was arrested near Amin Park Stop, Jamia Masjid Abu Bakar Saddique, Band Road, Lahore.

In another operation, ANF Lahore seized 2.6 Kg Heroin by intercepting a Canada bound parcel at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, which was booked through a courier service company based in Peshawar.

Heroin was concealed in 6 Books. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested Ghulam Abbas, resident of Gujrat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 4.2 Kg Heroin which was concealed in his suitcase.

He was travelling to Saudi Arabia by Flight No. EK-623. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested two accused namely Javed alias Bau and Muhammad Shahzad, residents of Multan at Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 670 Restoril Capsules weighing 170 Grams which was kept in bottom of brief case.

In fifth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Khalid Khan, resident of Charsadda at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 900 Grams Heroin which was concealed in two trolley bags. He was travelling to China by Flight No.

NK-892. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 3.1Kg Heroin from personal possession of the accused identified as Zubair Ahmed Naeem, resident of Karachi. He was arrested near Khokhar Chowk Johar Town, Lahore.

In seventh operation, ANF Lahore arrested Hashmat Ali, resident of Mardan at Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 900 Grams Amphetamine which was concealed in his bag.

NL-753. ANF Peshawar arrested two accused identified as Sher Zada and his lady accomplice Amina both residents of Sawat at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 4.370 Kg Heroin which was concealed in their Suitcases.

They were travelling to Jeddah by Flight No. PK-0353. In another operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 3.6 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Yahya Khan resident of Khyber Agency.

He was arrested near Abdara Road, Peshawar. In third operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Mazda Truck near Tableeghi Markaz, Pajjagi Road, Peshawar and recovered 2.2 Kg Opium & 8.4 Kg Heroin which was concealed in secret cavities of the Truck.

Two accused identified as Muhammad Ayub and Gul Azam, resident of Peshawar were arrested during the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused identified as Murad Khan, resident of Peshawar and recovered 500 Grams Heroin from his personal possession.

He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar in an intelligence based operation arrested three persons identified as Luqman, Sher Bano and Khasina all residents of Sawat from Peshawar International Airport on suspicion of ingested Heroin filled capsules in their stomach.

The culprits were admitted to Hayatabad Medical Complex for delivery of capsules, resultantly a total of 238 Heroin filled capsules (weighing 1.54 Kg Heroin) were recovered. The accused were travelling to Jeddah by Flight No.

NL-721. In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 150 Gram Heroin which was concealed in undergarments of accused identified as Ali Hassan, resident of Sialkot. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.

In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted an unattended Suzuki Mehran Car near Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 6 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the car. In 8th operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 730 Grams Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Muhammad Talib, resident of Khyber Agency travelling in a Toyota Hiace near Shah Maqsood Motorway Toll Plaza Haripur.

In ninth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Nissan Car near Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar and recovered 12 Kg Heroin which was concealed in secret cavities of the car. Two accused on-board identified as Khan Wali, resident of Khyber Agency and Hamidullah, resident of Karak were apprehended.

In tenth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted an unattended Toyota Corolla Car at Charsadda Interchange and recovered 12 Kg Opium and 40.8 Kg Hashish which was concealed in secret cavities of the car.

In eleventh operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Saeed, resident of Rahim Yar Khan near Kohati Pul, Kohat Road, Peshawar and recovered 47.7 Kg Hashish from his suitcase.

ANF Karachi intercepted a motorcycle and seized 12 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Bashir Ahmed, resident of Karachi. He was arrested behind an Educational Institute Main University Road, Karachi.

In another operation, ANF Karachi recovered 2.5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of two accused identified as Ghulam Qadir and Muhammad Umar, residents of Hyderabad. They were arrested near Kotri Pahatak, Jamshoro. All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
