2,373 Power Pilferers Arrested During October In Multan

A task force of the Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) and the district administration arrested 2,373 power pilferers during the last month.
According to Mepco sources, the task force conducted raids at various areas and arrested 2,373 pilferers during the drive across the region.
The task force imposed Rs73.5 million fine on pilferers while cases were got registered against 792 people.
The sources said the operation against pilferers would continue without any discrimination, adding that domestic, industrial, commercial and tube-well connections were being monitored on daily basis.
