24 Cops Dismissed, 51 Penalized In Sialkot

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) As many as 24 police personnel were dismissed from service
while 51 others were awarded various departmental punishments
as part of the disciplinary action in the district.
During an orderly room session here at police lines, 23 officials
were dismissed for their links with drug peddlers and other criminals
while one official was dismissed for continuous absence from
special duty.
The dismissed officials include: 3 sub-inspectors, 4 ASIs, 1 head
constable and 17 constables.
Apart from this, 51 officials were suspended from service for violating
rules and regulations, poor performance and negligence of duties,
salary deduction and other departmental punishments, while employees
who committed minor negligence have been given warnings.
DPO Faisal Shahzad said the main duty of police was to protect the
lives, property and honor of public, and only those officers and officials
who make honesty, duty and public service their motto would be involved
in this mission.
He clarified that there was a transparent system of punishment and reward
in the police department, under which strict action would continue against
corrupt and irresponsible elements, while hardworking, dutiful and excellent
performing officials would be fully encouraged.
