270 Million Rupees Recovered As Fine During Previous Year: SSP Motorway

The Motorway Police played a vital role in reunion of 80 children with families apart from its routine duty of controlling traffic on motorways and reducing motorway accidents
These views were expressed by Senior Superintendent of Motorway Police Sajid Hussain Bhatti while talking to journalists at Nawabshah Media Center disclosing that Motorway Police recovered Rs.270 million as fine from vehicle drivers during previous year.
He said that wrong overtaking and over speeding are main causes of most of the accidents while during the year 2018 as compared to year 2017, 40% reduction in accidents was recorded.
He said that motorway Police has launched trend of face wash of late night drivers of passenger coaches, trawlers and other vehicles as it is the time of sleep.
He said that another campaign of tightening seat belts and other necessary steps while driving would be launched.
SSP said that apart from their routine duty, Motorway police have planted 7000 trees on 170 kilometers on both sides of the motorway from Hala to Halani that is still In progress while removal of illegal encroachments was also being carried out.
He said that passenger coaches were strictly watched from one toll plaza to another toll plaza in order to stop over speeding.
He said that the license of a driver and route permit pf the vehicle will be cancelled in case driver would be found in motorway law breaking. Spokesman Motorway Police Azeem Zardari was also present on the occasion.
